Our annual show is a long standing Lincoln tradition. Since 1949, we have been proud to present musicals for the entire family. Our beautiful park setting and relaxed atmosphere has garnered a uniquely loyal following as Lincoln’s original “bring-your-own-dinner” theater.
Pinewood Bowl has been a Lincoln tradition since its dedication on July 13, 1947. It was dedicated to the men and women who lost their lives in World War II, and whose names were sealed in the bronze plaque on the entrance walkway.
Although our show is held in July each year, the preparing and planning of the show is a year-long labor of love by all of the volunteer Board of Directors. A staff is hired each year comprised of a Director, Choreographer, Musical Director, Conductor, Stage Manager, and Master Carpenter. We are fortunate to have had Courtney Piccoli as our choreographer since 2001 and later as our director beginning in 2006.
