OUR STORY

Volunteers started what is now the Pinewood Bowl tradition and volunteers work all year to preserve this uniquely Lincoln theater experience.

Our theater is in a park, which means the atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly.

Our mission is to provide quality entertainment to all of Lincoln and the surrounding communities, we keep our ticket prices as low as possible ($12-$15 adults, $5 kids, age 4 & under are free).

We recognize that not all have the opportunity to attend a cultural event, we provide free tickets to at-risk youth/families through Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Teammates, and City Impact.

We are committed to Lincoln and the surrounding area we source local shops and tradespeople for our sets, costumes, props, and specialty make-up.

We believe in our community’s talent, our cast/crew/orchestra are all community-based volunteers.

We believe in the professionals in our community, we hire a very small staff each year (Director/Choreographer, Music Director/Conductor, Costumer, Set Designer/Builder, Stage Manager).

PROFESSIONAL PASSION

Community theater can be seen as a hobby. We see it as an impactful passion. We love what we do and are taken seriously because we are serious about creating high-quality performances.

FROM THE GROUND UP

Beautiful productions don’t build themselves and neither do successful organizations. We build our success one brick at a time with hard work and collaboration. In order to grow, you have to get your hands dirty.

LIKE COMING HOME

We share pride in bringing people together both on stage and off. Every summer friendships are made or strengthened and families come together over our productions. That feeling extends through every facet of our organization.

HIGH QUALITY ENTERTAINMENT

We don’t do anything halfway. Our performances are of the highest quality in the area. It’s time that Lincoln’s talent is truly showcased and that’s the promise we make to our audiences.
