When and where do I get tickets?

Tickets go on sale June 10. You can purchase tickets online or at the customer service counter of any Lincoln Russ's Market. Many thanks to Russ's Market for providing discounted tickets at their locations.

Do I reserve a specific seat?

All tickets are general admission. You can sit wherever you like. Numerous wooden benches are available but many audience members bring a blanket or a chair and find a piece of grass to sit on.

Where do I enter the park and what's the deal with parking?

The Pinewood Bowl Amphitheater is located inside of Pioneers Park at 3201 S. Coddington Ave. in Lincoln, NE with entrances to the park off West Van Dorn and South Coddington Streets.

 

All incoming traffic will be re-routed to the West Van Dorn Street entrance on the evenings of our show.​

 

Pinewood Performing Arts does not charge for parking. There is no overnight parking or camping allowed in the park.

 

Park Personnel will direct all cars where to park. If you need ADA compliant parking, please let the attendant know and they will direct you.

Is Pinewood Bowl accessible?​

A parking attendant can direct you to ADA compliant parking. Inside the Bowl, a marked handicap accessible walkway winds behind the merch tower, connecting top of bowl to house at a less severe angle.

What is the refund policy?

Although the ticketing program requires you to choose a specific date, the tickets are good for any night of the production. There are no refunds for inclement weather. ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

When can I get in and what time does the show start? 
Gates open each performance date at 5:30 pm. The shows start at 8 pm. Guests are welcome to arrive early, find a good spot to watch the show and enjoy dinner. Food is allowed and concessions are available. New in 2024 - Theme Nights with activities for all ages during the pre-show hours!

Will there be food trucks?

Yes, Valentino’s, Waffleman, and Kona Ice will be onsite. There are also concessions available from the Lincoln Optimist Club, including popcorn, candy bars, malts, water, pop, and more.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

Yes! Pinewood Performing Arts is proud to be Lincoln's bring-your-own-dinner theater! Alcohol is not allowed in the park or amphitheater at any time during our production.

 

Are personal water bottles allowed?

Absolutely. We want our audience members to stay well-hydrated on warm summer nights.

Can I bring my own lawn chair or blanket?

Although there are many benches set up for audience members, you are also welcome to bring your own chair or blanket. We have sections down dedicated to chairs and blankets and those are filled on a first-come, first-staked-out basis. Or you can set up a viewing spot on any of the grassy areas around/behind the benches.​

Does my purse have to be clear?

No, you can bring whatever kind of purse or bag you like. 

​

What should I know about watching a musical outside?

Due to copyright law, and as a courtesy to our audience and cast, all forms of audio recording, video recording, and flash photography are strictly prohibited. Please turn off all cell phones, beepers, tablets, or other digital devices during the performance.

 

While we are an outdoor theatre, please refrain from talking, whispering, humming, or singing along during the performance...exceptions made for audience participation. Feel free to laugh, cheer for, and applaud the performers loudly and often.

Please keep the sidewalks clear at all times.

​

There are restrooms and port-a-johns inside the Amphitheatre for your convenience.


Smoking is not permitted inside the Amphitheatre. 

​

Bug spray is allowed in the Amphitheater, but citronella candles and other open flame products are prohibited. Please do not spray the grass with bug spray or other insecticides. Also, please use caution to not over-spray and affect your neighbor. 


Pinewood Performing Arts is not responsible for lost or stolen items.​

What should not be brought to performances?

The following items are NOT allowed during the performances:

  • Animals (service animals are welcome and must be on a leash at all times)

  • Fireworks and/or any other pyrotechnic devices

  • Alcohol

  • Illegal substances of any kind

  • In-line or roller skates, skateboards, scooters, bicycles

  • Laser pointers

  • Mace/pepper spray or any type of personal protection chemical spray

  • Weapons of any kind

  • Citronella candles and other open flame products

 

If you arrive with a restricted item, you will be asked to return it to your vehicle.
